Piano Guild
Date: Videos due by midnight, May 1, 2020
Place: Guild adjudications will take place via video submissions this year.

It’s time to register students for 2020 Piano Guild adjudications. Would you like your child to participate?
For those not familiar with Piano Guild, here are the details: Students memorize 4 pieces that they play for an adjudicator. The adjudicator writes comments on their playing and gives them a numerical score. This year, students will video record each of their pieces and upload them for online adjudication. This can be done any time on or before May 1.
I don’t require Guild participation for any of my students, but I certainly encourage it. Preparing for and participating in Piano Guild adjudications gives students a significant goal to work toward, often motivating them to work harder and do more careful practice than they otherwise might.

KMTA Keyboard Festival
Date: Saturday, May 16, 2020
Place: Broadway Baptist Church, 4009 Brownsboro Rd. Louisville, KY 40207
Registration Fee: $26.00
Students play two memorized, contrasting pieces for the adjudicator. Some levels require a music theory test to be taken, as well.
